New York City Recommendations

Below you will find a list of gems that I have found during my time in NYC. I always enjoy travel more when I have a list of places from trusted friends and family! So from me to you, voila.

Places:

Roosevelt Island // For a warm day, take the tram. Beautiful Views

— while your there FDR Park. Just hop on a bus to get there!

Dolby Pop-Up in SoHo // honestly I didnt get to go but if this is still there, you need to go. Google it.

Find a rooftop.

DUMBO // Go to brooklyn bridge, and then to here, and text me when you do this.

Williamsburg // Go into the Supreme Store and Fool’s Gold Record Label.

Coffee:

Blue Bottle // just my favorite tasting coffee. East and West coast I’ll stand by them.

Matto Coffee // for an inexpensive pick me up and snack. EVERYTHING in the store is only $2, lattes, caps, chai, and they have food too!)

Fairfax Cafe // for ambiance, a great work environment. This is also a wine bar so at night it’s classy. :)

Brooklyn Roasting Company // for when you visit DUMBO.

Ludlow Hotel // for a hotel… or coffee.

Food:

The Mud Spot // For brunch! GO!

By Chloe // Yum.

Mimi Chengs // Dumplings. EVERYONE I know recommends this place but they had nothing gluten-free

Panna II Garden Indian Restaurant // CHEAP BYOB SO FUN AH LOOK IT UP AND LOOK AT A PHOTO.

Bars:

Grey Lady // our final pre-corona party. Enough said.

Yours Truly // it was dead when I went there bc I went reallly late. but it smelled great, had a great environment and the workers were very nice.

Pianos // Go there, go upstairs, dance.

Thrift:

The Bearded Beagle

Salvation Army, duh.

L Train Vintage (There are many, but I had the best luck at the one in Williamsburg, small but mighty)

—also a bodega type store that sells fresh fresh farm fruits and veggies for really cheap a few doors down / maybe a block from L Train in Williamsburg.
